Following a consultation period open from 16 March to 15 April 2025, we are pleased to announce that the updated British Quality Wild Venison Standard has now been published.
We invited producers, processors, stalkers, and industry stakeholders to share their thoughts and feedback via the BQWV website, and we were genuinely encouraged by the response. The quality and depth of the contributions we received reflected just how much people care about the future of wild venison and the standards that underpin it.
We have carefully reviewed all feedback received and have incorporated it into the finalised Standard, which is available to read in full on our website today.

The updated British Quality Wild Venison Standard is now in effect and is available for download.
